Who We Are
Headquartered in Pune, India, MatMetriq was founded by a dedicated coalition of martial artists, tournament directors, and software engineers. We realized that while combat sports have evolved rapidly in athletic performance, the administrative tools behind them remained stuck in the past—reliant on fragile spreadsheets, handwritten brackets, and disorganized email chains.
MatMetriq replaces the administrative chaos with a singular, high-performance web platform that seamlessly connects tournament organizers, athletes, coaches, and certified referees.
Our Platform & Core Features
We support complex tournament bracketing frameworks depending on the combat discipline: Single Elimination (Double 3rd Place or 3rd Place Match), Double Elimination (with losers brackets), and Round Robin (Single, Double, or Triple). Our algorithms automatically segregate weight classes, gender splits, and age grouping parameters to ensure fair, safe, and balanced matchups.
The platform changes its terminology across the entire user interface dynamically based on event settings. Venue names can be displayed as Mat, Ring, Carpet, Court, Hall, Dojang, or Area. Referee designations can be displayed as Referee or Judge, matching the specific standards of WT/ITF Taekwondo, Karate, Judo, or Kickboxing.
To ensure fair scoring and eliminate individual referee bias, the platform implements a 5-second WebSocket consensus scoring mechanism. Multiple separate umpires can connect to a mat session via their mobile devices, and points are only added to the main scoreboard if they match exactly within a 5-second consensus window.
Our bracketing engine incorporates automated scheduler configurations. It checks for conflicts to warn organizers if an athlete is scheduled to fight on two different mats simultaneously, enforces a minimum recovery rest buffer between bouts, and automatically shifts match timing estimates based on break/lunch periods.
We manage weight classes with absolute precision. We track dual weigh-in attempts (Attempt 1 & Attempt 2) and support a Random Weigh-In generator (selecting a random subset of athletes on the morning of their matches) to prevent dangerous rapid weight cutting, promoting healthy competition standards.
Organizers can print brackets, compile Excel results standings, export PDF match history, and utilize custom-designed badge/certificate editor tools to issue official awards to competitors.

We strive to provide tournament coordinators with the tools to organize events in minutes instead of days, give referees a streamlined digital workflow to accept work and record scores, and give athletes a beautiful, professional profile to showcase their dedication and achievements.
