1. User Account Responsibility & Eligibility

Account Integrity: You are solely responsible for protecting your login credentials (email and password). Any activity that happens under your account is your responsibility.

Age Rules & Consent: As mentioned in our privacy policy, users under a certain age (typically 13 years old) require explicit verification of parental or guardian consent to use the service legally.

Parental/Guardian Liability for Minors: If you register a minor (under the age of 18) for an event or training session, you represent that you are their legal parent or guardian. You assume full responsibility for their compliance with these terms, their safety during the event, and all financial transactions made on their behalf.

2. Event Organization & Athlete Bookings

Event Hosting Rules: If you use the platform to organize sports tournaments, matches, or training camps, you must provide clear and accurate information regarding registration fees, rules, categories, and event locations.

Athlete Riders & Booking Conditions: When engaging in specific athletic activities or bookings (such as private sessions), the terms enforce specific local clauses—such as requiring the organizer to provide safe indoor/outdoor venues, basic first aid access, and clear advance approval for any media or filming.

Refund & Transaction Responsibility: While MatMetriq facilitates payment routing for tournament entries and bookings, the Event Organizer is the sole custodian of those registration fees. All refund requests, event cancellations, or credit adjustments must be resolved directly with the Organizer. MatMetriq is not responsible for issuing refunds.

Cancellation Policies: Standard transactional terms apply to paid sports events and bookings, dictating that late cancellations (e.g., less than 24 hours prior) are strictly non-refundable.

3. Sports Officiating, Brackets & Fair Play

Finality of Referee Decisions: All match outcomes, points, warnings, bracket seedings, and division placements are decided solely by the Event Organizer and their officiating crew (referees and judges). MatMetriq acts only as a digital record-keeper and does not arbitrate sports disputes, rule appeals, or point discrepancies.

Permanence of Historical Records: To preserve the integrity of sporting history and public brackets, completed tournament results, brackets, match logs, and win/loss records are permanent. Deactivating an account will remove personal profile details, but MatMetriq retains the right to display historical bracket placements containing your name.

Fair Play & Conduct Standards: Competitors are forbidden from misrepresenting their belt ranks, weight classes, age, or competitive achievements. Match-fixing, referee intimidation, unsportsmanlike conduct, or anti-doping violations will result in immediate banishment from the platform and forfeiture of all fees.

4. Content Ownership & Community Standards

Your Content: You retain the rights to the media, professional achievements, and athletic histories you upload. However, by uploading them, you grant MatMetriq the license to host, display, and distribute that data across the platform to make features like event registration and profile tracking work.

Media & Likeness Consent: By participating in or attending an event organized via MatMetriq, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or broadcasted. You grant MatMetriq and the Event Organizer the right to display your image, name, and fight logs in public brackets or promotional materials.

Prohibited Conduct: Users are forbidden from uploading fraudulent accolades, impersonating other athletes or coaches, disrupting tournaments, or utilizing automated scrapers to pull match/athlete data from the platform.

5. Billing, Subscriptions, and Paid Products

Payment Processing: All payments for subscriptions, premium features, packages, or tournament entry fees are routed securely through third-party payment processors like Google Pay, PhonePe (through Razorpay), and PayPal.

Accurate Information: To purchase products or event slots, you agree to provide completely valid billing information, including your legal name, contact number, and billing address.

6. Platform Disclaimers & Liability Limits

Assumption of Physical Risk & Injury Waiver: Sports tournaments, contact sports, and athletic training sessions carry an inherent risk of physical injury, disability, or death. By registering for or participating in an event, you agree that MatMetriq shall not be held liable for any bodily injury, medical emergencies, equipment failures, or health complications arising at any tournament or venue.

Service Interruptions: MatMetriq provides its application "as is." We are not liable for scheduling shifts, data loss due to connectivity drops, match delay inconveniences, or errors regarding tournament placements.

Safety & Gear Regulations: Event Organizers are solely responsible for enforcing safety standards (such as first aid access, medical checks, and compliance with mandatory gear/guards). MatMetriq does not supervise event safety and is not liable for gear-related injuries.

Jurisdiction: Legal disputes arising from these terms are generally governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the parent company, MATMETRIQ Group, is registered (Pune, India).
